Martin Baron

Born in the United Kingdom. He has a unique view as to what matters — and what works when it comes to pouring into people. Educated in England and with over 30  years executive management experience, he has learnt to capitalize on drivers of performance that have taken world leading brands to new levels. Developing global  strategies for consumer brands such as Dr.Martens Footwear, Ecco Footwear, McDonald’s Corporation, Rolls Royce just to name a few, promoting products and  services.

Social entrepreneurship: 

Throughout his career, he has had vast experience in many avenues from for-profit business to non-profit organizations. The concept of Self-Reliance has been a main  stay theme. Cause for Hope (Mentors International) was one of those that help families out of poverty into Self-Reliance in South & Central America. In the early 2000’s  a task force was formed to investigate poverty in developing countries. Based on its findings, Cause for Hope hired full-time mentors who initially worked with 40-50  families at a time., helping them build businesses. By tracking the progress of each enrolled family or individual, Cause for Hope had a total economic impact of $6  million in a short time. In future years this led to the development and worldwide launch of the Self-Reliance Program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

 

Professional: 

- Developed and rebranded global fashion brands 

- Created growth plans for Apparel & Footwear brands, resulting in increased sales  

- Restructured corporations in developing core values 

- Developed Humanitarian drivers so employees could incorporate the core values of the company
